Your sailing profile

Usually a day or a weekend cruising where you are sometimes anchored without the availability of shore power. This means that you will need sufficient power to sail for two days. In this system we assume an average day trip of around six hours per day sailing at a relaxed speed.

 Your onboard consumers include:

DC consumers:

The Basics

  • Engine capacity of 1 x 3.5 kW, for example a Mastervolt DriveMaster 3.5 Ultra. With the recommended configuration you will be able to sail for around four hours at cruising speed or around six hours if you go a little slower.
  • Your navigation station has, for example, a GPS, speedometer and depth gauge.
  • Simple operation via touch screen control panel.
  • Maintenance free system: Oil changes and cleaning the diesel filter are things of the past.
